Terry Goodkind

Terry Lee Goodkind (January 11, 1948 – September 17, 2020) was an American novelist best known for the epic fantasy series The Sword of Truth. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Goodkind worked as a woodworker and wildlife artist before publishing his debut novel, Wizard's First Rule, in 1994. The Sword of Truth series sold millions of copies worldwide and was adapted into the television series Legend of the Seeker. Goodkind also wrote standalone novels and related series such as the Nicci Chronicles and Children of D'Hara. He was publicly associated with Objectivist philosophical themes in his work.
