Raymond E. Feist (born Raymond Elias Gonzales III) is an American novelist best known for The Riftwar Cycle, a long-running epic fantasy series set on the worlds of Midkemia and Kelewan. His debut novel Magician was published in 1982 and launched a multi-decade career; his books have been translated into many languages and have sold millions of copies worldwide. He graduated from the University of California, San Diego, and lives in San Diego, California.
