Tracy Marrow, known professionally as Ice-T, is an American rapper, actor, and author. Rising from a difficult childhood in New Jersey and South Central Los Angeles, he became a pioneering figure in gangsta rap, formed the metal band Body Count, and later gained wider recognition as actor Detective Odafin "Fin" Tutuola on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He is the credited author of the crime novel Kings of Vice (with Mal Radcliff) and has published memoirs and other works drawing on his experiences in music, film, and street life.
