Emily Diamand is a British author of children's and young adult fiction best known for her climate-themed dystopian trilogy beginning with Flood Child (published in some territories as Reavers' Ransom / Raiders' Ransom). A lifelong environmental activist, she studied environmental science and worked for organisations including Friends of the Earth before publishing. Her fiction combines adventure, ecological themes and speculative worldbuilding and has been translated into multiple languages; she lives in North Yorkshire, England.
