Algis Budrys
Algirdas Jonas "Algis" Budrys (January 9, 1931 – June 9, 2008) was a Lithuanian-American science fiction author, editor and critic. Born in Königsberg (then East Prussia), he emigrated to the United States with his family and became known for novels and stories such as Rogue Moon, Who? and The Falling Torch, as well as for his long career as a reviewer, editor, teacher (Clarion), and judge for writing contests. He published under several pseudonyms and served as publisher/editor of Tomorrow Speculative Fiction in the 1990s.
