Jacqueline Dembar Greene
Jacqueline Dembar Greene (born May 21, 1946) is an American author of more than thirty books for young readers, including historical novels, picture books, and nonfiction often exploring Jewish themes and historical settings. Her notable works include the American Girl® Rebecca series, Out of Many Waters, One Foot Ashore, and The Secret Shofar of Barcelona. She has received recognition such as Sydney Taylor Honor citations and other children’s literature honors. Greene lives in Massachusetts.
