Marc Brown

Marc Tolon Brown (born November 25, 1946) is an American author and illustrator best known for creating the Arthur picture-book series, which was adapted into the long-running PBS animated television series Arthur. He graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art and has written and/or illustrated dozens of children's books; he has also served as an executive producer on the Arthur TV series and received multiple awards for his work in children's media.
