EnglishHistorical FictionClassic Literature
Sir Thomas Malory is the traditional name given to the 15th-century English writer attributed with Le Morte d'Arthur, a compilation and reinterpretation of Arthurian legends that became one of the best-known medieval works in English. Little is known about his life; he is often identified with Thomas Malory of Newbold Revel, Warwickshire. His work draws on French and English Arthurian sources and was first printed by William Caxton in 1485.
