Claire Dederer

Claire Dederer is an American memoirist, essayist, and critic. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Paris Review, The Atlantic, Slate, and other publications. She is the author of Poser: My Life in Twenty-Three Yoga Poses; Love and Trouble: A Midlife Reckoning; and Monsters: A Fan's Dilemma. Dederer has received residencies from Hedgebrook and the Lannan Foundation and is a recipient of the Los Angeles Times Christopher Isherwood Prize for Autobiographical Prose. She lives in Seattle and has taught writing at the University of Washington and in MFA programs.
