Syd Hoff (born Sydney Hoffberg) was an American cartoonist, illustrator, and children’s book author best known for the long-running early-reader classic Danny and the Dinosaur. He created syndicated comic strips (including Tuffy), produced cartoons for advertising and magazines, and wrote and illustrated numerous children’s books and instructional books on cartooning over a career spanning many decades.
