Stan Berenstain

Stanley Melvin Berenstain (known professionally as Stan Berenstain) was an American author and illustrator best known, with his wife Jan Berenstain, for creating The Berenstain Bears series of children’s books. The series, launched in the 1960s, became one of the best-known and longest-running picture-book franchises in children’s publishing, spanning dozens of titles, television adaptations, and merchandise. Stan worked as a cartoonist and illustrator before focusing full-time on the Berenstain Bears books and related media.
