Maureen Lee

Maureen Lee (1932–2020) was a British novelist known for her dramatic historical sagas, many of which were set in her native Liverpool. Before achieving success as a novelist in her later life, she worked as a shorthand typist and published over 150 short stories. Her novel 'Dancing in the Dark' won the Romantic Novel of the Year Award by the Romantic Novelists' Association in 2000.
