Cory Leadbeater

Cory Leadbeater is an American writer and author of the memoir 'The Uptown Local: Joy, Death, and Joan Didion'. He received his MFA in fiction from Columbia University in 2014 and previously attended Trinity College. Leadbeater spent nine years working as a personal assistant to the renowned writer Joan Didion, an experience that forms the core of his debut memoir, which explores themes of class, family, loss, addiction, and creativity.
