Hans de Beer

Hans de Beer is a Dutch author and illustrator, best known for his internationally successful 'Little Polar Bear' series. Born in Muiden, near Amsterdam, he studied history briefly before attending the Rietveld Art Academy in Amsterdam. His graduation project, 'Little Polar Bear', launched his career and has been translated into over 30 languages. He works as a freelance illustrator and divides his time between Amsterdam and Italy.
