
Rosamunde Pilcher
Rosamunde Pilcher, OBE, was a celebrated British novelist known for her sweeping family sagas and romance novels, many of which were set in Cornwall and Scotland. She began her writing career in 1949 under the pseudonym Jane Fraser before publishing under her own name. Her breakthrough novel, The Shell Seekers (1987), achieved massive international success. She retired from writing in 2000 and was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2002.
