Winston Graham

Winston Graham (1908–2003) was a prolific and successful English novelist, best known for his twelve-volume Poldark series, which is set in Cornwall and has been adapted into popular television series. Throughout his career, he wrote over 40 novels, including contemporary thrillers, suspense novels, and historical fiction. His 1961 thriller 'Marnie' was adapted into a film by Alfred Hitchcock. He was a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1983.
