Mary Beth Keane is an American novelist born in the Bronx, New York, to Irish parents. She was raised in Pearl River, New York. She is the author of several novels, including the New York Times bestseller 'Ask Again, Yes'. She is a recipient of a John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship and was named one of the National Book Foundation's '5 Under 35' in 2011.
