Fatimah Asghar
Fatimah Asghar is an American poet, filmmaker, educator, and performer. They are the author of the poetry collection 'If They Come for Us' and the novel 'When We Were Sisters', which won the inaugural Carol Shields Prize for Fiction. Asghar is also the writer and co-creator of the Emmy-nominated web series 'Brown Girls' and served as a co-producer and writer for the Disney+ series 'Ms. Marvel'. Their work frequently explores themes of orphaning, family, Partition, borders, and identity.
