CanadianHistoryBiography
Ronald W. Hawker is an author and former Associate Chair of the School of Critical and Creative Studies at the Alberta College of Art and Design, and an associate professor in the Department of Art and Design at Zayed University. He currently resides in Prince Edward Island. His work, "Yakuglas' Legacy," examines the life and art of Charlie James, a Kwakwaka'wakw artist and activist. The book includes 123 color illustrations and is described as a beautiful and poignant exploration of the impact of the Canadian project on Aboriginal people and their artistic responses.
