Joe Simpson
Joe Simpson is a British mountaineer, author, and motivational speaker, best known for his book 'Touching the Void,' which recounts his near-fatal climbing accident in the Peruvian Andes in 1985. Despite severe injuries and being presumed dead, he survived and managed to crawl back to base camp, an ordeal that became a global bestseller and was adapted into a film and stage play. His other works explore mountaineering experiences, risk-taking, and the human spirit.
