Anne Michaels

Anne Michaels is a Canadian poet and novelist known for her precise and beautiful language, and the depth of her philosophical themes. Her work has been translated into over 45 languages and has received numerous international awards. She was the poet laureate of Toronto from 2016 to 2019. Michaels's novel "Fugitive Pieces" was adapted into a film and has been recognized as one of the BBC's 100 Novels that Shaped the World.
