Diana Gabaldon

Diana J. Gabaldon (born January 11, 1952) is an American author best known for the Outlander series, a genre-blending sequence that mixes historical fiction, romance, adventure and time-travel elements. A former research professor with a Ph.D. in ecology and a background in scientific computation, she began writing fiction in the late 1980s. Her Outlander novels have been widely popular, spawned a television adaptation, and brought her international recognition.
