Nicholas Evans
Nicholas Benbow Evans (26 July 1950 – 9 August 2022) was a British journalist, screenwriter, television and film producer and novelist. He is best known for his 1995 debut novel The Horse Whisperer, which sold more than 15 million copies worldwide and was adapted into a 1998 film directed by and starring Robert Redford. Evans worked as a newspaper and television reporter before producing documentaries and later turning to fiction. He published several further novels including The Loop, The Smoke Jumper, The Divide and The Brave.
