Elizabeth Hay

Elizabeth Hay (born October 22, 1951) is a Canadian novelist and short‑story writer. A former CBC radio broadcaster, she is the author of multiple award‑winning books including Late Nights on Air (Giller Prize winner, 2007), the short‑story collection Small Change, and the memoir All Things Consoled (Hilary Weston Writers' Trust Prize for Nonfiction, 2018). Her fiction often draws on her broadcasting experience and northern Canadian settings; she lives in Ottawa.
