Pat Barker
Pat Barker is an English novelist known for her fiction exploring themes of memory, trauma, survival, and recovery. She gained prominence with "Union Street" (1982), a portrayal of working-class women's lives, and later achieved critical acclaim with the "Regeneration" trilogy, which focuses on World War I and its effects. Her more recent work includes a series of novels set during the Trojan War. Barker's writing is often described as direct, blunt, and plainspoken.
