Pat Barker
Dame Patricia Mary W. Barker (born 8 May 1943) is an English novelist whose work often explores memory, trauma, survival and recovery. She came to prominence with Union Street (1982) and is best known for her Regeneration Trilogy, which won the 1995 Booker Prize for The Ghost Road. More recent notable works include The Silence of the Girls (2018) and The Women of Troy (2021).
