Lisa Moore

Lisa Moore is a prominent Canadian novelist, short story writer, and editor based in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. Originally trained in the visual arts at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, she transitioned to writing full-time. Her work is deeply rooted in the landscape and culture of Newfoundland. She is a multi-award-winning author, having been a finalist for the Scotiabank Giller Prize multiple times, longlisted for the Man Booker Prize, and a winner of the Commonwealth Writers' Prize. She also teaches creative writing at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
