Thrity Umrigar
Thrity Umrigar is an Indian-American novelist, journalist, and professor. Born in Mumbai, India, she moved to the United States at age 21. She had a long career in journalism before becoming a full-time author and academic. She is currently a Distinguished University Professor of English at Case Western Reserve University and is known for her novels that explore themes of class, culture, and social issues in India and the United States.
