Eric Hill

Eric Hill (1927–2014) was a British author and illustrator best known for creating the iconic children's book character Spot the dog. After a career in advertising and graphic design, he invented the lift-the-flap book format in 1980 with his first book, 'Where's Spot?', which became a global success. He was awarded an OBE in 2008 for his services to children's literacy.
