Affinity Konar
Affinity Konar was raised in California and is of Polish-Jewish descent. She studied fiction at SFSU and Columbia University, where she received her MFA. Konar currently lives in Los Angeles. She has worked as a tutor, proofreader, technical writer, and editor of children's educational workbooks. Her novel "Mischling" is set during World War II and tells the story of twin sisters who become subjects in Josef Mengele's experiments at Auschwitz. Konar's work is known for its exploration of difficult themes with lyrical prose and a focus on hope amidst suffering.
