Marie Lu
Marie Lu is an American author known for her young adult science fiction and fantasy novels. She is best known for the Legend series, which is set in a dystopian and militarized future. Lu was born in China and moved to the United States at age five. She attended the University of Southern California, where she studied political science and biology, and interned as an artist at Disney Interactive Studios. Before becoming a full-time writer, she worked as an art designer in the video game industry. Lu's debut novel, Legend, was published in 2011.
