Patrick Skene Catling
Patrick Skene Catling (born 14 February 1925) is a British journalist, book reviewer and author best known for the children's classic The Chocolate Touch (first published 1952/1957 in the U.S.). He has written novels, nonfiction and several children's books, and has contributed reviews to publications such as The Spectator and The Daily Telegraph. Educated in London and at Oberlin College, Catling served as a journalist (including at The Baltimore Sun) and has lived and worked in various countries, with long-term residence in the Republic of Ireland.
