Peter Lovesey
Peter Lovesey was a British writer of historical and contemporary detective novels and short stories. He is best known for his series characters Sergeant Cribb, a Victorian-era police detective, and Peter Diamond, a modern-day police detective. Lovesey also had a career in education before becoming a full-time writer in 1975. His work is characterized by meticulous historical research, engaging plots, and a blend of humor and seriousness. He was also a leading track and field statistician.
