Elizabeth Kay
Elizabeth Kay is an English writer and illustrator, born in London in 1949. She has a Polish father and an English mother. Kay studied fine art at Nottingham Art School and later earned an MA in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University. She began her writing career in her mid-twenties, penning radio plays for BBC Radio 4, as well as short stories for various publications. Kay has also worked as an art and creative-writing teacher. She is the author of "The Divide" trilogy, a series of children's fantasy novels, and has also written books for struggling readers and novellas for adults. Her debut adult novel, "Seven Lies," was published in 2020. Kay has won several awards, including the Cardiff International Poetry Competition and the Canongate Prize. She is also an avid traveler and wildlife enthusiast.
