S. A. Bodeen

S. A. Bodeen, also known as Stephanie Stuve-Bodeen, is an American author of children's and young adult books. She grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin and graduated from UW-River Falls with a degree in Secondary Education. After joining the Peace Corps with her husband and moving to Tanzania, East Africa, she began her writing career. Her first picture book, "Elizabeti's Doll," was published in 1998 and received numerous national honors. Bodeen is also known for her young adult science fiction novels, including "The Compound" and "The Gardener." She has lived in various states and countries, and currently resides in the Midwest with her husband and two daughters.
