Anne Perry
Anne Perry (born Juliet Marion Hulme) was a British author best known for her historical detective fiction, including the Thomas and Charlotte Pitt and William Monk series. Her work, notable for period detail and social themes, sold millions of copies worldwide. In 1954, as Juliet Hulme, she was convicted of murder in New Zealand; after serving five years she changed her name and later established a prolific writing career. She received awards including an Edgar Award and remained a prominent figure in crime and historical fiction until her death in 2023.
