Abir Mukherjee
Abir Mukherjee is a British-Indian author known for his crime novels, particularly the Wyndham and Banerjee series set in Raj-era India. Before becoming a writer, he worked as an accountant for 20 years. Inspired by Lee Child's career path, Mukherjee began writing at age 39. His debut novel, 'A Rising Man,' won the CWA Dagger for Best Historical Novel in 2017. His books have been translated into multiple languages and have sold hundreds of thousands of copies worldwide. Mukherjee grew up in Scotland and now lives in Surrey, England, with his wife and two sons. His historical fiction novels often serve as allegories for contemporary issues.
