Alexandra du Bois

Alexandra du Bois is an American composer, violinist, and educator known for her critically acclaimed chamber, orchestral, and vocal compositions. Her music is often inspired by nature and issues of social injustice. She is the Chair of the Composition and Theory Department at the Longy School of Music of Bard College. Du Bois has received grants and awards from numerous foundations and institutions, and her works have been performed internationally.
