Sarah Winman (born 24 December 1964) is a British novelist and former actress. She made her literary debut with When God Was a Rabbit (2011), which became an international bestseller and earned her several awards including New Writer of the Year at the Galaxy National Book Awards. Her subsequent novels include A Year of Marvellous Ways (2015), Tin Man (2017) — shortlisted for the Costa Book Awards — and Still Life (2021). Winman is known for lyrical, character-driven storytelling often blending contemporary and historical settings.
