Kathleen Winter
Kathleen Winter is an English-Canadian novelist, short story writer, and non-fiction author. Born in Bill Quay, England, she immigrated to Newfoundland, Canada, at the age of eight. She began her career as a scriptwriter for Sesame Street and a columnist for The Telegram in St. John's. Her work often explores themes of identity, self-determination, and the natural world. She is widely recognized for her debut novel, Annabel, which was a finalist for several major literary awards, including the Scotiabank Giller Prize and the Orange Prize for Fiction.
